Kris talks to sons before doing kissing scenes with Robin

Before taking on a daring role in the upcoming television series, “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw,” Queen of All Media Kris Aquino said she first told her sons, particularly James “Bimby” Yap Jr., about the new teleserye.

“In-explain ko sa kanya at sinabi ko sa kanya, ‘Honey, when it’s in front of the TV it’s pretend. So pag-pretend it’s okay lang.’ Okay siya doon, basta work,” Aquino said after the story conference for the new show.

Aquino has said she is willing to do kissing scenes with leading man Robin Padilla, especially now that her marriage to professional basketball player has been annulled.

“Ang mga maiinit na eksena, ‘wag kang mag-alala, pinaghahandaan ko ito,” Padilla told Aquino. “Pwede bang torrid na halikan? Love scene?”

“Sure! This is it,” Aquino gamely answered.

Padilla was romantically linked to Aquino 10 years ago but Padilla said his past with Aquino is not a big deal anymore since both of them have matured.

He also assured his wife, television host Mariel Rodriguez, that she has nothing to worry about.

Actress Anne Curtis completes the love triangle in the new TV show.

Aquino even joked that she will try to match the sexy scenes of Curtis in the blockbuster movie, “No Other Woman.”

“How far do you plan to go?” Curtis asked her, to which Aquino replied: “This is TV, so how far can you really go? Yung far na far hintayin na lang natin kasi may movie ako for that. Oh di ba? Akala mo ikaw lang.”

But Aquino said there will be limitations to such scenes since “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw” is a family drama, which also features child star Xyriel Manabat.

Aquino and Curtis were also treated to a surprise birthday party after the story conference. Aquino is celebrating her birthday on February 14 and Curtis on February 17.

They will start taping for this project on February 21.

Kris Aquino shares birthday wish

Kris Aquino revealed her birthday wish is not just for herself but for her entire family.

In an exlusive interview with “The Buzz” aired on Sunday, Aquino said she is hoping she and her siblings would always remain grounded.

“My wish is for my sisters and my brother kasi gusto ko talaga na they all stay healthy and that parati kami nakaapak sa lupa. I don’t want any of us to be jaded. I don’t want any of us to lose optimism,” she said.

Aquino said her birthday is also a chance to give thanks to God, who has been good to her, blessing her with a wonderful job that she truly loves.

“Ang bait-bait ni God sa akin talaga dahil binigay niya ang opportunity to have the job that I love. I’m excited to be an actress. Sinabi ko iyan ilang beses. May teleserye, may movie with Chito Roño by March. I’m so excited about that,” she said.

Aquino is currently in Hong Kong with his sons Joshua and Bimby for her birthday. She will be turning 41 on February 14.

On marriage annulment

Meanwhile, Aquino said she already told her siblings about the annulment of her marriage with star cager James Yap.

“Nag-text ako sa kanilang lahat tapos sabi ko I promise to be good. Tapos sabi ni Ate (Ballsy Cruz) sa akin ‘I’m keeping that so that kapag may gusto ka nang ipakilala sa amin, I’m gonna show you that text,’” she said.

Aquino said she is just thankful for her siblings for always understanding her situation and for always being there for her.

“Sinabi ko lang sa mga kapatid ko na thank you because you tried your best to understand kasi madaling magmahal pero mahirap makaintindi. Pero sinubukan talaga nilang intindihin ako,” she said.

“’Yung mga kapatid ko, ang pwede kong sabihin is that, when you reach a certain level of fame or you have a certain level of power that Noy has, it’s hard to keep things real. Pero they really keep it real for me but yet they are always the proudest of every achievement and all. Ang swerte ko talaga,” Aquino added.

Annulment, ‘di raw ipagdiriwang ni Kris Aquino, ayon kay Boy Abunda

Bukod sa napawalang-bisa na ang kasal nila ni James Yap, mananatili rin kay Kris Aquino ang konstudiya ng kanilang anak na si Bimby o Baby James.

Sa GMA News TV’s Balitanghali nitong Sabado, iniulat na kasama sa desisyon ng Makati RTC sa pag-apruba ng annulment, ang pagkakaloob ng karapatan kay James na mabisita ang kanyang anak.

Sa hiwalay na ulat ng Chika Minute ng 24 Oras nitong Biyernes ng gabi, sinabing may karapatan si Bimby na mamili kung kanino niya gustong sumama kapag nasa tamang edad na ito.

Ayon kay Atty Lino Kapunan, abogado ni James Yap, walang itinakda ang korte sa schedule ng pagbisita ng kanyang kliyente sa anak dahil maaari naman daw itong pag-usapan mismo ng dating mag-asawa.

Aminado si Kapunan na naging mabilis ang pagproseso sa annulment case na inihain ni Kris noong 2010. Pinapaniwalaan ng abogado na ang maayos na pag-uusap sa paghahati ng mga ari-arian ang dahilan kaya mabilis na nakapagpasya ang korte.

Bagaman noong pang Enero 9, 2012 lumabas ang desisyon sa pagpapawalang bisa sa limang taong kasal nina Kris at James, nito lamang Biyernes nagtapos ang prescription period para maghain ng apela ang alinman sa magkabilang partido.

At dahil wala nang naghain ng apela sa naging desisyon ng korte, pormal na itong magiging epektibo.

Nitong Biyernes ay lumipad si Kris patungong Hong Kong para magbakasyon kasama ang dalawang anak na sina Bimby at Joshua.

Tulad ng dati, hindi gumamit ng VIP lane ang mag-iina at pumila kagaya ng karaniwang pasahero.

Sinabi naman ng TV host na si Boy Abunda na okey lang ang kanyang kaibigan na si Kris matapos mapagtibay ang annulment nito kay James.

Sakabila nito, hindi naman daw nagdiriwang si Kris na nagtungo sa Hong Kong.

“She’s okey… yun lang ang sinabi ni Kris na ‘pag na-a-annul ang mag-asawa parang its not actually an event in a couples life that cause for celebration," ayon kay Abunda.

Ang kawalan ng katungkulan ng nagkasal kina Kris at James ang sinabing ginamit na batayan ng korte para pawalang bisa ang kasal ng dalawa.

Matatandaan na inabot muna ng ilang buwan bago inamin sa publiko nina Kris at James na kasal na sila. Magdiriwang ng kanyang ika-41 taong kaarawan si Kris sa Pebrero 14, na 11-taon ang tanda niya kay James.

Bago ang paghahain ni Kris ng annulment case, ilang ulit na naging laman ng balita ang dating mag-asawa bunga ng mga babae na nauugnay kay James.

Kris tweets marriage with James annulled, going to HK with kids

TV host-actress Kris Aquino on Friday confirmed her marriage to basketball star James Carlos Yap has been annulled.

Aquino, who turns 41 on Feb. 14, also announced in a Twitter message that she is going to Hong Kong to spend the weekend with sons Joshua and James Jr. (nicknamed Bimby).

"Going to HK Disneyland with Josh and Bimby. Need this weekend to just be the five of us," she said in her tweet, referring to her two sons and their yayas.

The part where she confirmed the annulment of her marriage to Yap was contained in a longer tweet.

"Yes I'm annulled and can only wish for James and me lasting happiness and genuine friendship for Bimby's sake," she said.

Yap, 29, plays guard-forward for the B-Meg Llamados team in the Philippine Basketball Association.

Aquino and Yap got married in July 2005. The couple campaigned for Kris’ brother Benigno Aquino III when he ran for the presidency.

They separated, however, shortly after Aquino assumed office in 2010.

Kris not ready to work with Joey Marquez

Kris Aquino is not yet ready to work again with former boyfriend Joey Marquez, who is one of the hosts of the upcoming entertainment-documentary show, "Showbiz Inside Report."

“I’m not, kasi parang it’s such a part of the distant past, as far as I’m concerned. I don't want to open up old wounds that are better left healed, and I feel that it will do neither me or him any good,” Aquino said.

Aquino and Marquez had a very public split up in 2003.

Marquez, who signed a contract last week with ABS-CBN, had said he is open to interview Aquino.

“Sabi ko nga trabaho lang naman eh, so lahat ng pwede kong interview-hin, kung pumayag, [i-interview-hin ko]," he said.

Apart from Marquez, "Showbiz Inside Report" also stars Carmina Villaroel, Janice de Belen and Ogie Diaz. It will premier on Saturday, February 4, at 2:30 p.m.

But Aquino clarified that her decision not to work with Marquez is not because she hasn't moved on.

“It’s nothing negative ha, I don't wish him any ill will or anything like that. It’s just na I’ve reached a level of maturity siguro na gusto ko ng katahimikan,” she said.

Meanwhile, Aquino also announced that she had just signed two new endorsements.

“I know it’s more than 25 [endorsements],” she said.

Robin stars with Kris, Anne in new soap

Robin Padilla is the leading man in ABS-CBN’s newest series “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw,” which stars Anne Curtis and Queen of All Media Kris Aquino.

Also joining the cast is ABS-CBN child star Xyriel Manabat, who wowed viewers in the highly rated "100 Days to Heaven."

Based on information obtained by abs-cbnnews.com, the lead stars will have a story meeting on Thursday.

An excited Aquino hinted on "The Buzz" in December that her new soap would star an actor with the initials "RP" but said she couldn't identify the actor as yet.

Padilla and Aquino last worked together in the noontime show, "Pilipinas Win na Win."

In a previous interview, Aquino also shared her excitement about working with Curtis.

“Anne Curtis and I will definitely do our teleserye in 2012. I’m so excited about that,” she said.

Aquino added that part of her preparation for the series is to be fit and healthy.

As a bit of trivia: Padilla already did a movie entitled "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw." In the movie, which was released in 2000, Padilla played a car mechanic who falls in love with a popular singer played by Regine Velasquez.

Kris mum on court's alleged ruling on her annulment case vs James Yap

Napabalitang naibaba na raw ng korte ang desisyon sa annulment ng kasal nina Kris Aquino at James Yap, at na-grant na raw ito.

Nakausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ang abugado ni James na si Atty. Lorna Kapunan, ngunit ayaw nitong magbigay ng sagot.

Sinubukan din ng PEP na kapanayamin si James pero tumanggi itong magsalita.

Ang pagkakaalam ng PEP, hindi puwedeng magsalita ang dalawang kampo kaugnay sa desisyon ng korte, kaya tikom ang kanilang bibig sa isyung ito.

Sa thanksgiving party naman ng Segunda Mano nuong nakaraang Huwebes ng gabi, maingat na sumagot si Kris Aquino sa mga tanong namin.

Tinanong namin kung ano ang inaasahan niya sa personal niyang isyu, at mabilis niyang sinagot ito ng "Wala."

"Ayoko magsalita, e. Baka maudlot pa, e, di huwag na lang," pakli nito.

"Siguro a month from now you'll know why, dun na lang natin pag-usapan.

Sinundan namin ito ng tanong kung ano ang wish niya para sa sarili.

"Basta hintayin ko na lang talaga. Siguro by my birthday puwede na akong maging vocal sa mga wini-wish ko," ang makahulugan niyang sagot.

Tinanong uli namin kung may kinalaman ba ito sa kaso.

"Basta. Huwag 'nyo na lang ako tanungin," ang sabi niya.

Wala nang idinagdag si Kris tungkol sa isyung pinag-uusapan ngayon dahil mahirap na raw at baka mapahamak pa siya.

WISHES COME TRUE. Masaya na raw siya dahil lahat ng hiniling niya sa pelikula niya sa MMFF ay natupad: Ang maging number 2 sa box office at manalong best actor si Dingdong Dantes.

Naging tampulan pa ito ng intriga lalo na ang pagkapanalo ni Dingdong sa Gabi ng Parangal.

"How can you manipulate the box office? I think yung wish na yun at yung placement na iyun nanggaling sa hard-earned money ng mga tao na nagbayad para panoorin kami," ang sabi ni Kris.

"As far as the award is concerned, I don't think I did anything na..." at natigilan ito sandali.

"That was not proper kasi hindi ko naman wini-wish for myself, e," pagpapatuloy niya.

"Winish ko for somebody whom I felt was so deserving of it, and who treated me so well on the set.

"I felt I did such an excellent portrayal.

"At kung meron mang hindi natuwa na si Dong ang nanalo, there are other award-giving bodies.

"It just so happened na ngayon, sa kanya napunta," pahayag pa nito.

Hindi na raw siya nasasaktan sa mga intriga at mga puna laban sa kanya.

"Bakit mahi-hurt kung kumikita ka? I think ang nahi-hurt lang yung mga nalulugi.

"I think I have no business to be hurt because God has been so good to me.

"Honestly, magiging bitter ka lang talaga kung masyado kang greedy, e, I don't think I was greedy," saad nito.

Hiningan din ito ng reaksyon sa pahayag ni Gov. Jeorge ER Estregan, na bilang presidential sister, sana hindi na raw ito nagsalita o nagbiro kay Dingdong na kung hindi ito manalo, magwawala ito o mag-walk-out.

Sagot naman ni Kris, "Well, maybe as a governor also, dapat hindi na niya ako patulan."

Naikuwento pa ni Kris na inimbita raw nila si Gov. ER na mag-guest sa programa niyang KrisTv at i-tour ito sa buong Laguna, pero hindi naman daw sila sinasagot.

Pinag-iisipan din ni Kris na hindi na raw muna siya sasali sa Metro Manila Film Festival ngayong taon dahil gusto raw niyang mag-focus sa kanyang teleserye sa ABS-CBN 2.

"I start taping February 21, a teleserye. Ang sabi ni Deo [Endrinal], 'Katawan mo lang ang makapagdesisyon kung ano ang kaya mo,' kaya wala pa talaga."

Wala rin siyang maisagot sa tanong tungkol sa pelikulang gagawin niya with GMA Films kundi nakipag-miting na daw siya kay Atty. Annette Gozon-Abrogar.

Hindi rin niya masabi kung posibleng magsasama sila ni Marian Rivera sa isang pelikula.

"Ang mga pinresent kasi ni Annette were possible concepts pa lang.

"Ang sabi ni Deo, kailangan umupo silang dalawa talaga, para in the event kasi na magka-festival entry ako o hindi man festival entry, walang overlap ang stories at hindi magkapareho.

"The other thing na hiningi lang ni Deo is for us to be given the next 18 months to fulfill that commitment. Meaning, hanggang June 2013 sana," lahad nito.

KRIS AND SENATOR BONG. Binigyan din si Kris ng ideya na kung sakaling sumali uli ito sa MMFF, posibleng magsama naman daw sila ni Sen. Bong Revilla.

Mukhang magkakaroon ng part two ang pagsasama nina Vic Sotto at Ai-Ai delas Alas, kaya malamang hindi na matutuloy ang unang pahayag noon ni Vic na sila ni Sen. Bong ang magsasama sa 2012.

Wala pa naman daw inaalok na ganung offer, ayon kay Kris.

Mahirap raw magsalita sa ngayon hangga't hindi pa ito naupuan at nasimulang mag-shooting.

"But, I'm really open talaga, kasi this year talaga, as I declared, I am an actress," napapangiti niyang sagot.

"Nandun ang utak ko talaga to complete one teleserye, and hopefully, two movies this year.

"Actually, what could sway me to work with Sen. Bong... kasi that type of movie ang gugustuhing panoorin ni Bimby [bunsong anak ni Kris].

"Kasi sinabihan niya ako na, 'Mama, why don't you make a fighting movie na there's karate?'

"Sabi ko, 'Mama cannot do karate.'

"Yun ang gusto niya na magkarate Mama niya. Pero sabi ko, 'Mama can train to fight with the sword, why not di ba?'" natatawa niyang kuwento.

"Mahirap lang talaga mag-suggest ngayon kasi, while the impeachment trial is ongoing, ayoko lang talaga sabihin na sumisipsip kami sa kanya.

"Alam mo naman di ba? Lightning rod ako for controversy, kaya quiet na lang muna ako.

"But of course, I would welcome a teamup. I've never worked with him in my life," seryoso niyang sagot sa amin.

Janelle guests on KrisTV; shares tragic experience with Ramgen

For the first time, Janelle Manahan, girlfriend of murdered actor Ramgen Revilla, made a public guesting on ABS-CBN's morning show "KrisTV" hosted by Kris Aquino.

Manahan, 22, was with Revilla on October 29 when the tragic death happened. Manahan was also shot twice on the left side of her face and shoulder.

In KrisTV's taped episode aired on Thursday, Manahan shared her emotions over the tragic death of her long-time boyfriend.

But despite what happened, she said she continues to believe that there's a reason why she survived the attack.

"Iniisip ko everything happens for reason. Kung bakit ako nabuhay it's maybe because I should give justice to what happened to him (Ramgen)," Manahan said.

Manahan, a former ABS-CBN contract star, admitted that until now she still cries for what happened and that she badly misses Revilla. She said she was with Revilla till his last breath.

"Sana kahit for a while makausap ko siya, kahit sa dream. Hindi ko kasi nasabi sa kanya ang damdamin ko sa kanya that day even though siya buong araw siyang nag-a-I-love you. Kasi para sa akin kapag ang tao laging nag-a-i-love you sa iyo parang tingin mo hindi na totoo or OA (over acting). That day talagang smallest thing magte-thank you siya at maga-I love you, so parang di ko pinapansin so hindi ako nag-I-love you back. So sana yon lang (yung I love you too) ay masabi ko sa kanya," she said.

Manahan revealed that after Revilla's death, there were a number of times when he would make his presence felt.

"Pero sa tingin ko ay peaceful siya. Peaceful ang mukha niya. Sa tingin ko hindi siya galit. Maaliwalas ang mukha niya," she said.

And while she fears for her life, Mahanan said she will continue finding justice for Revilla until the end.

"I promise to give him justice, kung hanggang saan ko kaya I will do it," she vowed.

Mom offered Janelle's life to God

In her TV guesting, Manahan was accompanied by her mother, Rosario, who also shared the pain of almost losing her child.

Rosario said she was in Legaspi with the rest of their family when the incident happened. She said it was a shocking moment when she received the call from Janelle saying she was shot.

"It was a sleepless night for me. What I did that night I just prayed to Mama Mary and offered her life kasi wala akong magagawa. I offered everything to the Lord that night and the next day I took the flight to Manila," she said.

"Pagdating ko sini-CT scan siya so hindi ko pa siya matignan. When I saw her nakita ko ang right side niya lang. So sabi ko OK na siya. Noong pumasok kami sa room doon ko nakita ang pinasukan ng bala so I started crying again," she added.

Like her daughter, Rosario, said she believes everything happens for a purpose.

"Naisip ko trials itong lahat ng dumarating sa buhay natin ay para maging strong lang tayo sa buhay natin. So I offered everything to him," she said.

In the show, Manahan took the chance to apologized to her mom, for all the disappointments and heartaches she gave.

Manahan was only 17 when she decided to live in with Revilla. She also left showbiz for the slain actor.

"Thank you (mom) and sorry kung na-disappoint kita many times. Even na-disppoint kita before ay hindi mo ako pinabayaan especially now. Thanks for always reminding me to hold on to God. I love you so much," she said.

Until now, Manahan is still undergoing treatment for her facial paralysis brought by the incident.

'GGV' to air first live episode with Kris

Kris Aquino will have a chance to show off her funny side as she is set to appear on the first-ever live episode of the ABS-CBN show "Gandang Gabi Vice (GGV)."

Comedian-actor Vice Ganda, who hosts GGV, confirmed that he will share the stage with his good friend Aquino on January 8, 2012.

The comedian said this will be the first time that GGV will be airing live since it started May 2011.

"Ito abangan niyo na ngayon pa lang sinasabi ko na sa January 8 ay kaabang-abang yan dahil first time na magla-live ang Gandang Gabi Vice. Kauna unahang beses naming gagawin yan at si Ms. Kris Aquino ang makakasama ko isang buong gabi na yan. Isang buong gabi ikaw lang, isang malaking baliwan yan," said Vice Ganda, on his show that aired on December 25.

Vice Ganda was with Aquino recently as they gave gifts to the less fortunate in Tambunting St. Sta. Cruz Manila, where the comedian grew up.

Kris happy over people's support for 'Segunda Mano'

Queen of All Media Kris Aquino was glad to see thousands of fans lining up to watch her film “Segunda Mano” on Christmas day.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News during the film’s celebrity block screening at Glorietta, Aquino thanked all the people who showed support and watched her movie.

“Maraming salamat po sa pagnood niyo ng Segunda Mano. Thank you sa mga nanood ngayon and gusto ko na ipaabot sa inyo na graded A po ito, high quality, high caliber. Hindi ako napahiya nung sinabi ko na yung last 20 minutes talaga is the last 20 minutes of a lifetime,” she said.

Aquino also expressed gratitude toward her friends in the entertainment industry who took time out of their busy schedules to see “Segunda Mano.”

“Thank you, comedy royalty for attending -- Vice Ganda, Eugene Domingo, Pokie and si Sweet. Maraming salamat sa pagmamahal at sa pagpunta niyo at pagbigay ng importansya sa amin,” she said.

Also spotted in the celebrity block screening were celebrity stylist Liz Uy, TV host Raymond Gutierrez and Aquino’s sisters Pinky and Ballsy, and her nephews and nieces.

Meanwhile, Aquino on Monday congratulated the stars of other MMFF entries whose movies are also blockbuster hits.

Kris wants to film documentary on Aquino history

Kris Aquino revealed that she wants to make a documentary about her family’s history in a rather unconventional way.

During her show “Kris TV” on Friday, Aquino said that she wants to trace back her heritage through food.

Sharing her inspiration for this project, she said, “Meron kasi akong napanood na [documentary], it’s called ‘Kimchi Chronicles,’ It traced her history based on food. I would like to trace my family’s history based on food.”

According to Aquino, she plans to do the project by retracing all the places her family has gone to.

“Ang history at kasaysayan na pinagdaanan ng pamilya ko [will be] told through the places where we were and the food that we ate, at pinapasok mo doon ‘yung history ng Pilipinas,” she said.

Meanwhile, when asked about her prospected co-host for this project, Aquino said that she wants to share the floor with broadcast journalist Jessica Soho.

“I dream of working with Jessica Soho. I want to make documentaries with her because I’m a true fan,” she said

“I love her work and I know that it is something that will uplift the Philippines,” she added.
