Anne's most unforgettable leading man is Jericho

Anne Curtis said that actor Jericho Rosales is her most unforgettable on-screen partner to date.

“My first ever Best Actress award was when I was teamed up with Jericho Rosales, so I have a lot to owe to him," Curtis told ABS-CBN’s “Bandila” on Friday. “I wouldn’t have been able to give my best if not with the help of my leading man."

Curtis won the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Best Actress award in 2008 for her role in the film “Baler.”
In 2011, the two got another chance to work together in the defunct ABS-CBN television series “Green Rose.”

'Annebisyosa' experience

Last January 28, Curtis finally fulfilled her dream to stage a major solo concert.

Asked how the experience was, she said, “So many things are going through my mind, like ‘Is this really happening? Am I really having a major solo concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum? Is this happening?’”

During the event itself, Curtis said everything simply felt surreal.

“When I looked, when they revealed me, I didn’t know what was happening. As in I can’t remember that night clearly. It was like a dream. Parang when I woke up the next day I was like, ‘It really happened,’” she said.

Now that her career is at its peak, Curtis said that she really has a lot of things to be thankful for.

Although she is actually enjoying her success, she stressed that she’s trying not to let fame get into her head.

She explained, “I guess for me kasi it wasn’t an easy thing. It didn’t just fall on to my lap... Kaya ko siya iniingatan.”

“I’m not letting it get into my head because at any given day or hour it can just go like that (snap), so I’m just grateful for everything,” she added.

Robin stars with Kris, Anne in new soap

Robin Padilla is the leading man in ABS-CBN’s newest series “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw,” which stars Anne Curtis and Queen of All Media Kris Aquino.

Also joining the cast is ABS-CBN child star Xyriel Manabat, who wowed viewers in the highly rated "100 Days to Heaven."

Based on information obtained by abs-cbnnews.com, the lead stars will have a story meeting on Thursday.

An excited Aquino hinted on "The Buzz" in December that her new soap would star an actor with the initials "RP" but said she couldn't identify the actor as yet.

Padilla and Aquino last worked together in the noontime show, "Pilipinas Win na Win."

In a previous interview, Aquino also shared her excitement about working with Curtis.

“Anne Curtis and I will definitely do our teleserye in 2012. I’m so excited about that,” she said.

Aquino added that part of her preparation for the series is to be fit and healthy.

As a bit of trivia: Padilla already did a movie entitled "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw." In the movie, which was released in 2000, Padilla played a car mechanic who falls in love with a popular singer played by Regine Velasquez.

Sam Milby: Anne made me cry

Actor Sam Milby has revealed that the last girl who made him cry was his former girlfriend, actress Anne Curtis.

Milby admitted this in a “fast talk” with “Bandila” anchor Boy Abunda on Tuesday.

The actor also revealed that he got jealous of Curtis’ current boyfriend Erwann Heussaff.

Curtis and Milby became a couple during the first quarter of 2007 but the actress broke up with him later that year to establish her “personal relationship with God.”

Both then admitted that they were exclusively dating again in 2008. Milby, however, ended their relationship in November that year.

In her past interviews, Curtis said there was no third party on both sides amid rumors linking her and Milby to other artists.

Both have remained friends since then.

Meanwhile, Milby shared what is his biggest regret in love.

"I will say there were times in the past where I wasn’t mature enough and I was not man enough to be the leader ng relationship," he said.

Anne Curtis' star at its brightest in 2011

Anne Curtis topped Star Studio magazine’s list of “most intriguing and inspiring people of 2011.”

While she may be humble enough not to brag about it, most people would definitely agree that 2011 is the year when Curtis’ star was at its brightest.

This past year, Curtis launched her own music album even though she is not a singer.

Her album “AnneBisyosa” received a gold record award 3 weeks after it was released.

Curtis was also one of the lead stars of Star Cinema’s “No Other Woman” which was a blockbuster hit.

It earned almost P220 million in ticket sales during its third week of showing.

In 2011, Curtis was also the first Filipino to be added to the roster of endorsers of an international cosmetic brand, putting her alongside popular Hollywood stars.

She also received a star at the Eastwood Walk of Fame this year.

Furthermore, she was able to conquer the stage of the Araneta Coliseum when she guested on Martin Nievera and Side A’s concert.

While Curtis considers this year overwhelming, she said she is glad that a lot of opportunities continue to come her way.

“I don’t think ‘Wow, I have all of this.’ It’s not like that at all. I have nothing more I can ask for. I’m just so happy. I’m just happy with what has come to me, and I just go on being the jolly and bubbly person that I am,” she told Star Studio.
