Jake Cuenca starts shooting for new soap

Jake Cuenca is currently in Doha, Qatar to shoot scenes for his upcoming ABS-CBN drama series with actress Shaina Magdayao entitled “Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo”.

Cuenca flew in with co-star Bangs Garcia and some members of the production crew to start shooting.

According to Cuenca, they have already finished shooting some parts of the show in a famous tourist spot in Qatar.

Magdayao is expected to arrive Doha next week for her scenes, he added.

Even though he is in a foreign land, Cuenca said he actually felt at home because of the warm welcome given by the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) community there.

“Lahat ng tao dito sa Qatar sobrang bait sa amin, sobrang inaasikaso kami,” he said.

“Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo” is a drama series about the day-to-day lives of OFWs.

Sharing a few details about the upcoming series, Cuenca said, “Ang gusto lang talaga naming gawin ay ilabas ang tunay na istorya ng mga OFW, ng mga TFC subscribers.”

“Based siya sa mga ilang kuwento ng mga OFWs. Ang gusto lamang namin ipakita kung gaano naghihirap, kung gaano nagtiya-tiyaga lahat ng OFWs dito. Gusto namin na bigyan ng mukha ang mga OFW,” he added.
