Among the 13 competing finalists, the dance group Astig Pinoy from Misamis Oriental stood out during the grand finals held at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo City.
The winning team garnered an average score of 9.933.
Aside from the prestigious title, Astig Pinoy took home a cash prize of P1 million.
Astig Pinoy also won an additional P1 million for the barangay it is representing, Barangay 9 in Gingoog City.
Although it failed to win the grand champion title, the group UDC of Pasig City was able to bag the Madlang Pipol’s Choice award, along with a cash prize of P100,000.
