Perez, who started his showbiz career after joining a talent reality show in 2003, was found dead inside his car last December 29.
In an interview, Carlito, Perez' father, said he does not believe that the actor committed suicide. He added that there must have been another gunman with Perez the night he died.
According to Perez' friends, the actor had gambling problems as well as marital woes with his wife Liv.
Perez' was part of ABS-CBN's defunct hit series "Mula sa Puso."
Last December 3, he appeared in an episode of "Maalaala Mo Kaya."
