Billy Crawford's trip to Europe postponed

Singer and television host Nikki Gil has confirmed that her boyfriend, singer Billy Crawford, will not be flying to Europe this January.

Crawford earlier said he will temporarily leave his shows in ABS-CBN on January 26 because of his work commitments in Europe.

In an interview with Push.com.ph, Gil said Crawford’s trip was postponed because his upcoming album was moved to mid-2012.

Asked if she is glad now that she and Crawford have more time to be together, Gil said: “Halos pareho naman siya. Na-delay lang nang konti pero aalis pa rin siya. Ganun talaga, trabaho ‘yan, okay lang. Konting time for me [with him] kasi na-delay nang konti pero timing kasi.”

While they will be miles apart for quite some time, Gil is confident she and Crawford could manage a long-distance relationship.

“Mas established na kami magfo-four years na kami. Siguro naman kakayanin na namin ‘yon but malungkot,” she said.

“More than anything kinakatakutan ko malungkot dahil alam natin kuwento ‘yan ng mga kapamilya natin na nagtatrabaho sa ibang bansa na malungkot mahiwalay sa iyong loved one, but then again for a season lang naman. Darating din ang panahon na magkasama na kayo,” Gil added.

Crawford had said he will be in Europe for four months.
