Coco takes on different role in 'Walang Hanggan'

Coco Martin has expressed his thrill over his upcoming ABS-CBN television series “Walang Hanggan”.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Martin said he’s really excited with this new project because this is totally different from the previous television projects he had undertaken.

“Kasi ‘di ba ‘yung mga last na soaps ko medyo kontrabida, barilan, heavy drama. Ito, this time, susubukan ko naman magpa-in-love,” he said.

In preparation for this new role, Martin said he took the extra mile to research about his character from classic romantic films.

“‘Yung preparation ko dito medyo mabigat din kasi wala akong ginawa kundi manood nang manood ng love story movies, ‘yung mga ‘Titanic,’ ‘Hihintayin Kita sa Langit,’ mga Tagalog movies, ‘Romeo and Juliet,’” he said.

Martin’s leading lady in this television project is actress Julia Montes.

Included in the powerhouse cast are the queens of Philippine cinema Susan Roces and Helen Gamboa and former sweethearts Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta.

Rita Avila, Melissa Ricks, Joem Bascon and Paulo Avelino are also part of the show.

“Walang Hanggan” is set to premiere on ABS-CBN channel 2 on January 16.
