Maja still shy to go out on date with Matteo

Maja Salvador said that while she has become more open about her relationship with actor Matteo Guidicelli, she is still shy to go out on dates with just the two of them.

During the press conference of “Lumayo Ka Man Sa Akin” on Tuesday, Salvador said: “Actually, mas nahihiya ako lumabas.

Salvador also shrugged off rumors saying she and Guidicelli showed too much affection when they were shooting the film “My Cactus Heart.”

Siyempre kailangan din namin irespeto yung mga taong nasa paligid namin,” she said.

According to Salvador, showing love with another person is not only limited to hugging or kissing.

Marami naman,” she said.

“Sa relationship kasi namin ngayon parang puppy love lang kasi textmate lang kami, callmate… kasi never pa kami nag-date, as in grupo [kaming lumalabas]. Never pa kaming nag-out of the country, bihira lang din kami magkita. Kung magkikita man kami 10 minutes lang, hi lang, magda-drop by siya sa taping, ganon lang,” she shared.

Salvador, however, noted that what she likes about Guidicelli is that the actor is really making an effort to reach out to her loved ones.

Matteo denies rivalry with Xian Lim

Matteo Guidicelli has denied that there is rivalry between him and his “My Binondo Girl” co-star Xian Lim.

“Wala namang kumpetisyon,” he told Push.com.ph.

This comes after Lim’s team-up with actress Kim Chiu became more popular even though Guidicelli’s character was also among the actress’ love interests at the start of the series.

It’s a blessing 'cause you know Kim Chiu is Kim Chiu," Guidicelli said.

"Congratulations bro," he added. "The people like your team-up and I’m very, very proud of you and just keep it up all the time. ...Xian’s a cool dude so you know it’s a blessing na marami talaga silang supporters.”

Guidicelli said he and Lim even became closer through “My Binondo Girl.”

“We’re like brothers, literally brothers. It’s like a brother-to-brother thing,” he said.

Aside from “My Binondo Girl,” both actors are also part of the upcoming Star Cinema movie “My Cactus Heart.”

“My Cactus Heart” is Guidicelli’s first lead role in a movie with real-life sweetheart Maja Salvador.

Guidicelli admitted that the project is a big challenge for him but he hopes his fans would support his tandem with Salvador.

Maja-Matteo film to be shown next year

Maja Salvador said is doing a movie with real-life boyfriend Matteo Guidicelli.

In an interview during the launch of her newest endorsement on Tuesday, Salvador said the movie, titled “My Cactus Heart,” will be shown next year.

Indie film din siya under Star Cinema, ‘My Cactus Heart,’” she said.

“Isang taon na namin siyang ginagawa and ‘yun, ipapalabas na. Ako basta magandang story at kaya kong gampanan, gagawin ko,” she added.

Salvador said "My Cactus Heart" tells the story of a woman who is having a hard time falling in love.

Aside from the film, Salvador is also gearing up for a television series with actor Jason Abalos.

At kaya bang ipaglaban ‘yon kahit mali na ‘yung pag-ibig na pinaglalaban," she said.

New Year's resolution

Meanwhile, Salvador said she wishes to feed her soul next year.

"Ang New Year’s resolution ko ay more time na makapunta ng church," she said.

Salvador added that she is also looking forward to doing more projects.

"Sana this 2012 ay more projects pa. Peace, peace at love, love," she said.
